Free Printable Mother’s Day Card / A5 Size

{Free printable Mother’s Day Card / A5 Size} Whoppsy-daisy as my own daughter would quip—t’s nearly Mother’s Day! For me this always means I’ll need to send both my mum and mum-in-law a nice card each around the first week of May as they both live in Singapore 🙁 Well, aren’t you blessed if your mum or mum-in-law live(s) in your city (erm…ahem…hopefully that’s a good thing for you) And if she does/they do, there’s still enough time to shop this weekend for a little something and a card to let her/them know how special she is/they are. And when’s Mother’s Day again this time? 14 May, Sunday!

For those of you who’ve not gotten around to getting your Mother’s Day cards, I’ve designed a card which I’m happy to share here available as an A5 Card format which you can print for your own use. Just note that it’s designed to be printed in landscape mode on A5 sized card stock. You’ll need to customise your printer settings to fit the downloaded pdf image. Oh, I’m sorry this one is just for the daughters of the world. The men can go get their own card, they already leave too much to their wives? Surely their mums deserve a son who shops for her gift and card on Mother’s Day…will someone please tell my son that when he’s old enough…

OK, enough rambling. Back to business–For this card I used the manual feed tray on my laser printer for more control, and to finish this card I’ve also fed it through my Heidi Swapp Minc laminator machine for a stunning gold-foiled effect. The finished card I made was first printed on coated cardstock, then trimmed and mounted (with metal eyelets) on an A5 sized kraft card stock paper, one of the most handy card sizes I love to design on. It’s handy if you had the Minc laminator to add the foiled effect, but if you don’t , this card could also be printed as the ‘inside greeting’ in black, if you wish. Or, plain black text printed on Kraft/white card works just as well for that clean minimalist look.

Hope your mums are just gonna love it! I know my mum would. As unbelievable as it is, she still keeps most of the childish cards I made her for her as a little girl. Now you know where the inspiration for this card’s sentiments had come from.

To all the mums, Happy soon-to-be Mother’s Day. We won’t admit it but we have the best job.
Hardest. But best, yea.
xx Kat

P.S. For inspiration on what to write inside your card, here’s a post I wrote a while back on Mother’s Day greetings/ Real Mother’s Day cards!
