Every now and then when it’s time for me to fully decompress, my thoughtful husband takes the kids for the day while I attend a day of pampering at my favourite day spa. The last blissful treatments I can’t stop dreaming about were a billabong footbath, followed by a full body ‘dry body mitt & west australian clay cocoon wrap’, a deep tissue massage, a detoxifying facial ending beautifully with a lilly pilly all-body moisturising…ahh…I can’t count the days to my next appointment. If you haven’t gone to one, you owe it to yourself to! I always feel as if I can conquer the world again once I’m done.
I don’t know a woman who hasn’t become addicted to beauty and spa treatments once she’s been well and truly buffed and pampered from head to foot. To perk myself up till the next one, here’s my cheeky interpretation of my day at the spa. A spa-themed fondant cupcake or cake topper I made for a a friend (she couldn’t bear to eat it for days!) that I named my ‘Bathing Beauty’ that would be perfect for occasions like bridal showers, hen’s celebrations, birthdays for teens or women, or even on Mothers Day.
